Dorothy Campbell Bishop, 77, passed away Wednesday at home in Hazel Green. She was born in Elkmont, AL to Mr. Rennie Campbell and Mrs. Mamie Campbell Pritchett, and was a proud 1961 S.R. Butler High School graduate. She retired from Bell South in 1992.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Billy W. Bishop, her parents, stepfather, Charles T. Pritchett, and four siblings, Danny Campbell, Rennie Campbell, Sarah Campbell, and Margaret Campbell.
Survivors include her children, Michal W. Bishop (Elizabeth), and Kimberly D. Bishop; sister, Helen C. Claunch (Harold); and grandchildren, Jeremy Bishop, Kristina Williamson (Andrew), James C. Laing II, and Daniel Laing.
She was a very devout Christian and was a member of South Fayetteville Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 20th at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Brother Eric Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
