Dorothy Armstrong Slaton, age 87, of Town Creek, died Saturday, May 5, 2017. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Mrs. Slaton was a native of Town Creek and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a retired school teacher. She enjoyed bridge and cross stitching. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Russell Armstrong Jr; mother, Ossie Keeton Armstrong; and sister, Polly Medford.
Survivors include a son, Jonathan Myers and wife Gina, of Tuscumbia; sisters, Bet Terry of Town Creek and Emma Cross of Russellville; and grandson Jason Myers.
The family expresses special thanks to Kindred Hospice for being so kind and caring and just being there for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Town Creek Church of Christ, 324 Church Street, Town Creek, AL 35672.
