Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy Ann “Dot” Jones Edmondson, age 72, will be held on Wednesday November 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Bro. Brad Kimble officiating. Burial will follow at Hollins Cemetery.
Mrs. Edmondson passed away on November 24th at UAB hospital. She was born in Clay County, graduated from Goodwater High School Goodwater High School. She worked in textile manufacturing but her greatest joy came from spending time with and taking care of her family adored by her grandchildren and great grandchildren who called her “Nana”, and was a true blessing to her family. She enjoyed watching Alabama Football, crocheting and cooking big family dinners.
She was survived by her; daughters, Margaret Tison (Ronnie) of Rockford, Christy Daugherty (Ronald) of Delta; three sons, James Edmondson Jr. (Sherry) of Lineville, Albert Edmondson of Lineville and John Edmondson (Christy) of Ashland; her children’s father James Edmondson (Mary Ann) of Lineville 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ellen Queen of Hollins, Kathy Cone of Tennessee, and Lynn Jones of Goodwater; and a brother Pete Jones of Sylacauga.
She was preceded in death by her parents Otha Lee Jones and Eunice Horn, three sons David, Joshua, and Jeremy Edmondson, two grandchildren Kaleb and Jamie Edmondson and one sister Elizabeth Gardner.
Active Pallbearers will be David Miles, Joey Mullally, Logan Tillery, Raymond Garcia, Randy Holloway, and Alex Queen.
Her visitation will take place on Tuesday November 26, 2024 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and until service time on Wednesday at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland.
