Doris Sue “Sudie” Cantrell – Obituary

 Doris Sue “Sudie” Cantrell, 81, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Meadows where she had resided since December 10, 2009. She was born October 22, 1931, in Itawamba County to Jim and Emma Turner Smith. She was a lifelong member of Shiloh Methodist Church. She was a very hard working lady.

Services will be at 1 p. m. Monday, October 21, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Buddy Rushing officiating. Burial will be in the Mantachie Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Jean Pruett (Clay) of Byhalia; her son, Phillip Ray Cantrell (Tina); one sister, Evelyn Witcher, both of the Shiloh community; her grandchildren, Scott Lynk, Rodney Lynk, Tera Johnson (Anthony), Phillip Micheal Cantrell, and Chad Cantrell; and her great-grandchildren, Lexie and Baylee Rayburn, Macie Johnson, Jordon Cantrell, Payton Cantrell, and Allie Cantrell.

He was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Lee Cantrell; her son, Charles Cantrell; one sister, Jonnie Lee Smith; one brother, James Smith; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Robert Smith, Michael Lee Witcher, Michael Allen Witcher, Bradley Smith, John Berry Thompson, Frankie Lindsey, and Ronnie Witcher.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Sunday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie.
