Doris passed away on June 25th, 2024 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born in Clifton, TN on November, 29, 1937 to the late W.A. and Carrie Maye Lynch Moore. She was raised on a cattle farm and as a young girl often swam in Hardin Creek that ran through the family farm. She graduated from Frank Hughes High School in Clifton, TN as Salutatorian of her class. She was a Welcome Wagon Lady in Corinth during the 1960s and welcomed new families moving into the area. She worked many years for the Corinth School District in many various roles. She was a member at First Baptist Church in Corinth. She and her husband went on mission trips and she loved helping with VBS. She and her late husband enjoyed fishing, traveling and staying in their traveling trailer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Monroe, and a brother, Richard Moore.
She is survived by her sons, Jeffery Scott Monroe (Debbie), Kenneth Mark Monroe (Debbie) and Timothy Brent Monroe (Debbie); grandchildren, Mark Monroe, Olivia Grace Monroe, Taylor Dane Monroe and Travis Bodrock and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Bro. Dennis Smith will officiate the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Memorial Funeral Home.
