Doris Leamon Yarbrough, 91, of Blountsville, Alabama, passed away on November 8, 2022. He was born in Marshall County, Alabama, on April 20, 1931, to William Curtis and Nora Latham Yarbrough.
Leamon worked over thirty years in maintenance and refrigeration for Tyson Foods. There were not many things Mr. Yarbrough could not do, fix, or figure out. He loved his family, and his granddaughters and great-grandchildren were a source of joy for Leamon and his late wife, Dorothy.
Mr. Yarbrough is preceded in death by his parents; wife of many years, Dorothy Marie Woods Yarbrough; brothers, J.B. Yarbrough, Elmer Yarbrough, Buddy Yarbrough, Wayne Yarbrough, Linton Yarbrough; sisters, Elizabeth Widner, Helen Williamson, Ruth Widner, Lee Ethel Thomas, and Brenda Benefield.
Leamon is survived by his son, Lance Yarbrough (Rita); granddaughters, Kari Holmes (Josh), Bethany Scott (Ty); great-grandchildren, Kylie Holmes, Brooklyn Holmes, Lillian Holmes; brothers, Jimmy Ray Yarbrough (Kim), Clinton Yarbrough (Barbara); sisters, Betty Jean Black, Shirley Eubanks (Ted); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Yarbrough are 12 noon, Saturday, November 12, 2022, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 11 a.m., until services begin.
