Doris Jo Gullion, 67, formerly of Hartselle, passed away on February 28, 2014, in Knoxville, Tenn.
Doris was a loving and courageous mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Arlene Johnson Vandiver; brother, Horace Don Ryan; and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her daughter and husband, Stephanie (Parker) and Adam Abbott of Sevierville, Tenn.; step-daughters and husbands, Amy and Alan Lacy, Cary and Jeremy Lacy, and Jennifer Murphy of Hartselle; loving brother, Steve Vandiver of Sevierville, Tenn.; honorary brother and friend, Greg Mattson of Decatur; granddaughter and husband, Kayla (Cook) and Patrick Kenner of Sevierville, Tenn.; grandson and significant other, Cody Cook and Jessica Johnson of Hartselle; six stepgrandchildren and great-granddaughters; niece and nephews, Robyn Hunkeapillar, Richard Ryan and Chris Ryan; aunt, Sheree Johnson; and numerous cousins.
Family will receive family and friends from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014 with service following at Peck Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Carr officiating.
