Doris Jean Howell Nixon, 77, of Hamilton, AL, passed away Saturday, January 04, 2020 at Northwest Medical Center. She was born in Marion County, Alabama on Saturday April 18, 1942 to Jim & Nettie Howell.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 06, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the Marion County Funeral Home. Services will 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 07, 2020 at Hamilton Church of Christ with Bro. Ted Burleson officiating. And burial at Hamilton Memory Gardens.
She was preceded by her husband, Joel Nixon; parents, Jim Howell and Nettie Ford Howell; siblings, Max Howell, Dennis Ray Howell, Dorothy Byrd, Jesse Bethune, Ethel Brown, Cleveland Howell, Lura Bell Precise, Wilburn Howell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Sandy Cook (husband, Sonny); Son, Tim Nixon (wife, Loretta); grandchildren, Shane Cook, Chase Cook, Kody Nixon, Kyle Nixon; great-grandchild, Colton Cook; siblings,Dean Page, Kathy Crosgrove
Wallace Howell, Verelene Pope, Stella Baird; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
