Doris Imogene Springer Richardson – Obituary

We celebrate Doris Imogene Springer Richardson, age 80, on this day, Wednesday, February 1st, 2017, God called his angel to her heavenly home. God brought her into this world February 2nd, 1936. Doris Imogene may have fought a diligent fight with Alzheimer’s but gave her love and smiles to everyone she met. She was retired from Dillard’s. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday February 2nd, 2017 at Loretta Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 3rd, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Eric Brown and Pastor Mike Samuels officiating. Burial will follow at Richardson Chapel Cemetery. She was preceded in death by husbands Robert Lee Springer and Mutt (Ottis) Richardson, parents Earlene and Grady Jones, great grandmother Margaret Littrell, father-mother in law Robert Gus and Annie Jane Springer, 2 sisters Madge Burgess and Deb Humphres, great nephew Hank Rappe’, She is survived by four daughters: Marilyn (Benny) Gargis Lexington, Pam Cole, Quenna (Mark) Aldridge, Bobbie Springer all of Killen. Grand children Misty (AJ) Fedak, Nick Cottrell, Matt (Erin)
Whitten, Josh Whitten, Justin Cole, Brett Gargis, Paul (Sissy) Gargis, Amy Gargis. Great grandchildren Chelsea, Dillon, Austin Gargis, Ike, Max Fedak, Alston, Nate, Lizzie, Anna and Carson Whitten, Trace Cole, Emma Blankeship and Jax Snow. Sister in Laws, who were more like her sisters: Laura Mae Pettus, Frances Johns, Marie Springer, Marcell Pettus. Our sincere thanks to Brentwood Staff for the excellent care for our Mom. Dr. McFall for the years of dedication, Dr. Morris, Dr. Webb and the outstanding staff at ECM 5th & 6th floor. God Bless you all. Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Loretto Memorial Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
