Doris Huggins, 95 of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2023, at The Reserve Assisted Living. Mrs. Huggins was born on January 13th, 1928, in Ragland, Alabama, to John Fouts Barber and Grace Aldridge Evans Barber.
Mrs. Huggins is survived by her sons Michael Huggins (Jackie), of Athens, Lynn Huggins (Jane), of St. James, MO, Neal Huggins (Susan) of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Gary Huggins (Mary), of Birmingham, AL; daughter Jeannie Thomley (David) of Franklin, TN; 16 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Horace Huggins; sister Aldridge Dubose, Sue Alexander, Bonnie Beasley, Naomi Alexander, and Nellie Jean Smith; and brother Paul Barber.
Funeral services for Mrs. Huggins will be Monday, March 13th, 2023, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with David Thomley and Gary Huggins officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00-1:50pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Mrs. Huggins was a true blessing. She loved the Lord greatly and loved to sing. She enjoyed cooking and was very hospitable. She dearly loved her family who will miss her very much.
