Doris “Dottie” Lee Briscoe, age 91, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at her residence.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at noon at New Prospect Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Delmus Anthony will officiate.
Mrs. Briscoe was preceded in death by her father, Chesley Sherer; mother, Fannie G. Richardson Sherer; first husband, Stanley Lee; brothers, Arthur Sherer and Dr. Jerald Sherer; sister, Jean Jeary; brother-in-law, Bob Jeary; and sister-in-law, Louise Sherer.
She is survived by her husband, Doyce Glenn Briscoe; daughters, Linda Lee Hankins (Bill Sr.) and Debbie Lee; special friends, Judy Willhoyt and Shirley Grandison; special caregivers; sister-in-law, Billie Sherer; grandson, Bill Hankins Jr. (Ali); twin great-grandchildren, Leelee and Will Hankins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
