Doris Christine Emmons, 82, of Florence, passed away Sunday at her son’s home in Huntsville.
Doris was a lifelong member of Northwood United Methodist Church in Florence and was a member of the Shoals Democratic Organization. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. Emmons; two daughters, Susan Chaney and Kathy Emmons; and one brother, Billy Bradley.
Survivors include her son, Nick Emmons and wife, Brianna; her son-in-law, Donnie Chaney: eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, C.M. Bradley; and her special dog, Lacey.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Greenview Cemetery in Florence with Pastor Steve Reding officiating, Berryhill Funeral Home is directing.
