Dora Woman Dies In Two-Vehicle Accident Two Others Injuried

DORA-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident near Dora that has taken the life of one person and sent two others to hospital:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:35 p.m. Friday, July 19, has claimed the life of a Dora woman.

Melissa S. Parker, 42, was fatally injured when the 2006 Toyota Tundra that she was driving left the roadway and was struck by the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jose S. Perez, 34, of Bessemer. Prior to impact, both vehicles left the roadway, which resulted in the roadside crash. Parker was pronounced deceased at the scene. Perez and a passenger in the Silverado, Louis F. Trevino, 31, of Bessemer, were not using seat belts at the time of the crash. Perez and Trevino were both and injured transported to Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Jasper for treatment.

 

The crash occurred on Horse Creek Boulevard near Singleton Road, approximately one mile west of Dora, in Walker County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
