Dora Shrader Vermillion, age 77, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at her home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield. Entombment will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12pm until the hour of service at 2pm.
Mrs. Vermillion was born August 1, 1944 in Bellville, OH to the late Alvia and Ethel Amsbaugh Shrader. She worked as a secretary for many years at Wilson Sporting Goods.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Vermillion is preceded in death by her sisters and brother-in-law, Betty and Glen Greenawalt, and Joyce Reamsnider.
Mrs. Vermillion is survived by her husband, Ray Vermillion; children, Michael (Cathy) Vermillion, Michelle (Neal) Vermillion Toft, and Chad (Christy) Vermillion; siblings, Pat Franz, Bob (Barb) Shrader, Linda (Alan) Squires, Judy (Larman) Utler, Dick Shrader, and her twin sister, Donna Leopold, with whom she had a very special bond; and her grandchildren, Eli Johnson, Patrick Vermillion, Kaity Vermillion, Molly Vermillion, and Emma Vermillion.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
