Dora B. Thornton, 89 of Arley, entered into rest on October 9, 2012 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
She was born on October 31, 1922 in Wedowee, Alabama to Dee and Nancy Mattox.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 5-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11am. Brother Cory Drummond will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Addison.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Thornton and his wife, Cheryl, Kenny Potter and his wife Melody; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvil Thornton; parents, Dee and Nancy Mattox; son, Orvil Thornton, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Griffith.
