Dora Adline Scott Jones Bratto – Obituary

Dora Adline Scott Jones Bratto, 97, Phil Campbell, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at her residence.

She lived life to the fullest, loving to play fiddle, yodel; and most of all, buck dance. Having her family around was one of her greatest joys.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Ralton McCarley and Bro. Tony Wood. Singing at the funeral will be her grandson, Jay Jones. The burial will be at Old Line Cemetery, Hodges.

She is survived by her children, Pat Hudson (husband, Carley), Jimmy Jones (wife, Gail), Linda Lawler (husband, Linden); daughter-in-law, Margie Jones Aycock (husband, Wallace); grandchildren, Sherry (David) Voyles, Cindy (Mitch) Mitchell, Barry (Kim) Jones, Tina (Scott) King, Jay Jones, Tamela (Keith) Oden, Michael (Debra) Lawler, Shane (Tonya) Lawler, Missy (Ron) Baucom; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillie Brewer, Essie V. Cleveland; and a host of nieces, nephews, & friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert Dorsey Jones, Sam Bratto; son Hugh Don Lawler; parents, Arthur & Lula Jane Scott; 2 sisters; and 6 brothers.

The pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family would like to extend a special thanks Gentiva Hospice, our nurses, Monica, Kim, and Steve, and also to Bro. Ralton McCarley for your love and care, your prayers and your visits.
