Gulliver and his brothers and sisters have been at the shelter since mid-October. They were probably born in April, so are about 9 months old. Please keep in mind that the shelter is likely the only home these older puppies can remember. Most will not already be house-trained, so be patient; confine them to easy-to-clean areas for a little while; and give these babies a chance to learn your house rules.
Gully spent a few days with a foster home over the holidays and has learned so much! He won’t go potty while on the leash yet, so he will need some space to stretch his legs, like a big yard. He is getting used to walking on grass and leaves … He LOVES to be around people, so he’s not a flight risk while he’s in your yard with you. Gully should do well in just about any home! Graham is a cutie from a litter of older puppies that came to the shelter in mid-October. He’s about 45 pounds at 9 months old, and won’t get much bigger. He recently spent a week in a foster home, where he did very well at leash walking. He slowly relaxed from the stress of being in the loud shelter, developing more independence and confidence. He’s not aggressive, and gets along with horses and cats. He’s smart, alert and curious about everything! He plays with other dogs well, but his personality is more people-oriented. He doesn’t like cold weather, and prefers playing inside to playing outside. He takes bath day well, and is doing fine on house-training so far. Graham is a good-looking, loyal young dog who is going to become an outstanding best friend for you. This sweet boy was dumped this weekend in the cold rain hungry and cold. He is such an amazing dog. Apollo loves people and other dogs. He’s extremely gentle and loving. He deserves a wonderful home. Daisy has been with us far too long! She has grown up in the shelter and is desperately searching for her own home and family! She is dog friendly and people friendly! She might not be best suited for small children because she does have a lot of energy and she jumps to give love.
