Mr. Donny Harvey Austin Jolly Sr., age 67 of Ashland, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2024 at the Jacksonville Health and Rehab.
Mr. Jolly was born in Illinois and but lived in Ashland for 30 to 40 years. He was in the Army for 2-3 years and spent his time working at Koch foods as a security guard. He loved working on cars and tinkering with different things. He was so proud of his grandson Ted for being in the Marines and often visited him in North Carolina. He loved staying busy and traveling and looking for adventures.
Mr. Jolly is survived by his daughter, Josie Fern Jolly of Lincoln; two sons: Donny Jolly Jr (Amanda) of Ashland and John Jolly of Lincoln; ten grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters: Violet Jolly and Golda Jolly; brothers: Wayne Shaddix, John Jolly and Ricky Shaddix; and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Shaddix and Violet Cooper Shaddix, grandson Justin Jolly, and a sister Shirley Aaron Dunnigan.
