Donnie Wayne Brummitt, age 62, of Athens passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born in Limestone County on November 17, 1953 to Quinton Brummitt and Douglas Anna Burns.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents Quinton and Douglas Brummitt and six brothers.
Services will be Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 2:00PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Terry officiating. Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2016 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lentzville Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife: Renee Barnes of Athens, AL, daughter: Heather LeAnne Barnes of Athens, AL, sisters: Pauline Brown of Shelbyville, TN and Reba Moss of Athens, AL, brothers: Jerry Brummitt and wife Patty of Athens, AL, Carlos Brummitt of Athens, AL, Lonnie (Fat) Brummitt of Athens, AL, Dwight Brummitt and wife Diane of Lester, AL, James (Peachie) Brummitt and wife Cindy of Athens, AL and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: Trent Moss, Jeff Coffman, Gary Coffman, Brandon Smith, Grover Brown, Greg Siniard, Dwight Brummitt and Matt Brummitt.
