Donnie Mack Rogers, 53, of Madison, Alabama, formally of Andalusia, left this world behind on Thursday November 16, 2023 in the arms of his loving and devoted spouse of 16 years, Earl Swain. Donnie was born on March 3, 1970 to Leslie “Buddy” and Irene Rogers. He grew up in Andalusia, Alabama where he graduated from Pleasant Home School in 1989. He entered into the the Southwest Alabama Police Academy and graduated in 1993. Donnie spent his law enforcement career with the Covington County Sherriff’s department and achieved the rank of Chief Deputy before his departure from the Sherriff’s office in 2001. Donnie never met a stranger, could talk to anyone and lit up every room with his infectious laughter. He forged many meaningful relationships throughout his life and was adored by so many. Anyone who knew Donnie knows how special, wonderful, funny, and devoted he was to everyone, but especially, to Earl, Holly, and his family. Donnie loved all things cars, NASCAR, country music, Alabama football, and hubcaps. Donnie fought a brave battle with cancer with a smile on his face, positive attitude, and not one complaint.
