Mr. Donnie Gene Walker, age 76 , of Arab passed on Thursday – May 4, 2023 at Diversicare of Arab. Mr. Walker was born to George William Walker and Ruth Alva McDaniel in Marshall County, AL. He and his wife Andree White Walker have been married for sixteen years.
Donnie turned his passion for body shop work into a dream come true when he owned and operated his shop Universal Body Shop in Arab. He enjoyed lawn care and landscaping in his free time. He also loved Alabama football.
He is survived by his wife, Andree Walker; step son, Johnny Tidmore (Marsha); step daughters, Amanda Tidmore and Elizabeth Day (Andrew); grandchildren, Amelia day and Hudson Day and brother, Jimmie Walker.
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, George Walker and Ruth Walker and brother, Jackie Walker.
A Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Walker on May 12, 2023 with visitation with the family at 1:00pm – 2:00pm with a service following at 2:00pm with Brother Reagin Brown officiating at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Arab First United Methodist Church.
