Mr. Donnie Evans, age 67 of Athens, AL passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his home. Donnie was born on March 26, 1950 in Limestone County to Homer and Edith Mae Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Evans.
Donnie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy Wright Evans of Athens, AL; sons, Joey Evans and Jamie Evans (Lauren) of Athens, AL; daughter, Amy Rouse (Brad) of Athens, AL; grandchildren, Sydney Evans, Brea Rouse, Jamee Rouse, Bryant Rouse, Sarah Evans and Ellie Evans; sisters, Brenda Walter (Donald), Janice Rucker (Jimmy), Faye Evans and Dianne Powers; brothers, Roger Evans and Danny Ray Evans (Donna).
Services will be at 2:00PM Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 prior to the service. Burial will be in Round Island Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Rucker, Travis McElyea, Alywin Moran, Bryant Rouse, Brad Rouse and Bill McElyea.
