Donnie “Don” Weaver was born on May 28, 1939, the son of the late David Hermon and Mary Florence Emmons Weaver. On February 19, 1983, he was united in marriage to Nancy Ann Durbin, who survives. Donnie departed this life on March 12, 2017, at the age of 77 years, 9 months, and 12 days.
Before working as a truck driver for Turnbo Trucking, Donnie worked at Shipper’s Choice, hauled logs for Donnie and Ronnie Durbin, and hauled lumber and crossties for Ingle’s Sawmill. He previously lived in the Swift community for 27 years. Donnie was a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. He was a loving husband to his wife, Nancy, and was the best stepfather and step father-in-law. Donnie loved his stepchildren, Tim, Terry, and Deborah, like they were his own. He was the best Paw to his grandchildren and will always be known as Paw Don to them. Donnie loved visiting others, going out to eat, Tennessee football, and going to church when he could. He will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to his wife, Donnie is survived by his stepdaughter, Deborah Williams and husband Allen; stepsons, Tim Franks and wife Rhonda, Terry Franks and wife Vicky, and Jimmy Franks and wife Betty; brothers, Jackie Weaver and Murrell Weaver and wife Mary Ann; grandchildren, Jamie Franks, Jason Franks, Justin Franks, Jason Clark, Amy Melson, Jonathon Franks, Jesse Franks, Lezlee Stewart, and Nicki Williams, Jody Williams, Jonathon Williams, Ester Williams, and Jessica Williams; and great grandchildren, Caidan, Haylee, Josie Franks, Brody West, Madison, Mackenzie, Micah Franks, Kemper Franks, Emmy Franks, Cody Melson, Landon, and Addison.
Along with his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Pipes.
