Donna Sue Cope Canfield, age 85, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on January 28, 2024. She was a beloved member of the community and a devoted follower of her faith. Donna Sue was a longtime member of Rocky Branch Holiness Church. Throughout her life, Donna Sue dedicated over two decades to serving the community as an employee of the Marshall County Counsel on Aging. Her unwavering commitment
and hard work left a lasting impact on those she served and the colleagues she worked alongside. She is survived by her daughter, Leigh Ann McGhee (David); son, Greg Canfield (Dena); her grandsons, Matthew McGhee and Garrett Canfield; as well as her great- grandsons, Braxton McGhee and Brantley McGhee. Donna Sue’s family was a source of joy and pride in her life, and her love for them was immeasurable. Donna Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Gene Canfield; her father, James Cope; her mother, Hazel Henley; and her sister, Gail McHathey. Although she has left this world, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A graveside funeral service to honor Donna Sue’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Marshall Memorial Gardens.
