Donna Reed O’Kelley (70) passed away peacefully at her home in Albertville, Alabama, Wednesday, July 17, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 21, 1953, in Guntersville, Alabama.
While attending Central High School in Florence, Alabama, Donna enjoyed being on the cheerleader squad. Post education, she worked at TG&Y and ECM Hospital, and raised her family in Florence. After her children were grown, she moved to Albertville.
She enjoyed Alabama football, the Smokey Mountains, and especially spending time with her family. Donna was the best mom two girls could ever ask for. Her presence will be greatly missed.
Donna is preceded in death by her father, Welton Reed; mother, Janette Gilmore; stepfather, James Gilmore; brother, Mitch Reed; and stepbrother, Jimmy Gilmore.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Curington (Mike); Carri Anne Rhodes (Randal); sister, Susan Jones (Brad); stepbrother, Keith Gilmore (Pam); long-time partner, Mac McCoy; grandchildren, Landon Curington, Tucker Rhodes and Grace Anne Rhodes, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 27, at 1:00 pm, at the home of Susan Jones, 165 Baird Lane, Albertville, Alabama, 35950.
