Donna Joan Collins Foster, age 84, passed away on November 13th, 2023, in her granddaughter’s home in Somerville, Alabama. Donna was born in 1939 in Gadsden, Alabama, and graduated from Emma Samson High School. She went on to work as a secretary on base at Redstone Arsenal, where she met her soon-to-be husband, Charles Milton Foster Sr. While he was stationed in Germany, she eventually followed him there where they had their first child, Teresa, their second, Charles Jr. in Alabama, and their final, Carol, in Texas, where they stayed for many years. In her free time, she was a certified bowling coach for the Junior Bowling League in Seguin, Texas, where she also helped special needs children learn to bowl. Her primary goal from then on was being a housewife (which she took great pride in), bringing up 3 kids, who gave her 4 grandkids, and then 6 great-grandkids, most with whom she spent her final weeks.
