Donna Jean King, born on October 13, 1951, in Asheville, North Carolina, was a shining light in the lives of many. She was the daughter of Jane Rice and the late John Rice.

Donna was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Pocahontas, Tennessee. Her deep faith and unwavering relationship with God were evident in everything she did. An avid reader, she found solace in her daily Bible readings, drawing strength and inspiration from her spiritual journey. Known for her thoughtfulness, Donna was the friend who never forgot a special occasion, often brightening someone’s day with a heartfelt card.

She brought warmth into every room with her exceptional cooking and her green thumb, taking delight in nurturing her flower garden. Above all, her love for her family was boundless.

Mrs. King peacefully departed this life on November 13, 2024, at the age of 73. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 38 years, Frank King of Ramer, TN; her children, Jeff King of Maryville, TN, Kimberly Clingan of Seymour, TN, Ronnie King and wife Deborah of Hendersonville, NC, Karen Childers of Clyde, NC, and Randy King and wife Cindy of Candler, NC. Donna’s legacy continues through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she will be deeply missed by her dear friend, Mary McKinney of Middleton, TN, as well as a host of extended family, church family, and friends.

As we remember Donna, let us celebrate her life of kindness, faith, and love that touched so many.
