Funeral for Donna Butler, 74, of Decatur will be today, July 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church in Eva with the Rev. Barry Henderson and Nickie James officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Butler, who died Monday, July 8, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born November 16, 1938, in Eva to E.U. and Gladys Miner. She worked 20 years for General Electric. She loved to garden, spend time with family, adored her grandchildren, and she cared about those she loved. Mrs. Butler was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norval Miner and Rev. J.C. Miner; and one sister, Grace Miner Laney.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Derrell Butler; two sons, Darren Butler (Freda) of Muscle Shoals and David Derrell Butler (Sabrina) of Cullman; two brothers, Joe Miner of Birmingham and Jerry Miner of Eva; one sister, Ravenell Powell of Cullman; and eight grandchildren, Jake Butler, Coty Butler, Lexis Butler, Gage Butler, Evie Rosa Caroline Brewer, William Jackson Brewer, John Christopher Hans Butler and Catherine Donna Grace Coco Butler.
Pallbearers will be Jake Butler, Coty Butler, Todd Miner, Allen Miner, John Martin and Charlie Allbritton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gage Butler and William Jackson Brewer.
