Donald Wayne Shockley, age 78 of Huntland, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Shockley was born November 30, 1941 in Huntland, Tennessee to the late Lawrence and Louise Shockley. He was born, raised, and lived with his wife of fifty-nine years, Frances Shockley, on Greasy Cove Road. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Faye Richardson and Jean Simmons; and grandsons, Hunter Swafford and Specialist Jackson Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Shockley; sons, Mike (Patricia) Shockley, Jeff Shockley, Bruce (Michelle) Shockley, and Billy (Sonya) Shockley; daughters, Tonya Shockley, and Miranda (David) Leggitt; and sisters, Nettie (Jim) Dishroon, and Becky Brooks; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Huntland Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Bruce Shockley officiating.
