Donald Wayne Morgan, 66, of Hillsboro, died Thursday morning at 1 a.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 31st, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Donald was born December 4th, 1948, in Lawrence County to Elder and Jessie Glynn Morgan and was preceded in death by them.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Wade Morgan from Winston County; one daughter, Christy Morgan Hawkins of Lawrence County; two grandchildren, Gabrielle Gilchrist and Hunter Brannon, both of Lawrence County; one great-grandchild, Levi Gilchrist of Lawrence County; one sister, Lily Morgan Sherrill of Decatur; brothers, Ronald Morgan of Trinity and Charles Morgan of Decatur; and sisters, Mary Christine Murphy, Margaret Ann Horton and Amy Marlo Sparkman, all of Lawrence County.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
The family prefers donations to cancer research in lieu of flowers.
