Donald Wayne Fleming, age 82, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023, at his residence.

Donald worked and retired from Jimmy Dean Foods.  He was a member of Prairie Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved his family, but especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Tim Fleming, Karen Taylor (Frankie), Donna Swinney (Paul); grandchildren, Brittany Green, Falon Alexander (Doug), Mandy Bradley (Philip); great-grandchildren, Luke & Avery Alexander, Collin Bradley, and Emma Borden; brother, Dwight Fleming, sister, Martha Canterbury; and a host of nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death his wife of 54 years, Jane Zills Fleming; parents, Jimmie Lou (Hicks) and Rayburn Fleming; siblings, Malcolm Fleming and Vickie Burns.

The visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel.  Officiating the service will be Bro. Trevor Hallmark.  The burial will be at Old Town Creek Cemetery in Landersville. The pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Hospice of North Alabama, and our nurses, Greta and Tiana for the love and care shown to our dad during this time.  We want to thank our brother, Tim, for being the main caregiver to Dad during his time of sickness.
