Donald Wakefield Miller, born January 28, 1930, in Holcomb, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home in Huntsville, Alabama on Feb 21, 2022. The family is comforted in the knowledge that he is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He served as fire & rescue in the Air Force during Korea and went on to become a Computer Programmer Analyst on Redstone Arsenal. There, he had a long career where he made many lifelong friends. He lived his life as a Christian, leading by example through his actions and love for others. He was a loving mentor to his family, a loving husband, a loving father, and a loving grandfather. He was a handyman who would tackle any project, a skilled gardener, and he loved his Ford Mustangs and fishing. He was a longtime member and volunteer with Whitesburg Baptist Church, delivering many meals for more than a decade. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Miller, a sister, Melba Clausen of Florida, one stepson, Jerry Smith of South Carolina, his wife Mary, three stepdaughters, Deborah Letson, husband Billy Letson, Pamela Daniels, Jennifer Jory, husband Edward Jory, nieces and nephews, and many grandkids that dearly loved him. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsilene Smith, by a sister, Shirley Depew, another sister Charlotte, a stepson, Tony Driggers, and a stepdaughter, Sandra Smith.

The family would like to thank Heartlite hospice for the efforts of their wonderful team of caregivers.
