Donald Robert Lewonczyk of Prospect passed away on November 18, 2021. He was born in New Britain, CT on October 23, 1938 and was 83 years old.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was retired from the US Air Force where he served for 26 ½ years. He loved woodworking, oil painting, and was very good mechanically.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021from 11:00am until 2:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory with a memorial service to follow at 2:00pm with military honors.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Francis Lewonczyk, parents, John and Anna Pupecki Lewonczyk, brother, John “Bob” Robert Lewonczyk, and sister, Ann Marie Glidden
He is survived by his,
Wife of 62 years, Joanne Lewonczyk of Prospect
Son, Jon (Molly) Lewonczyk of Elkmont
Son, Richard Lewonczyk of Nashville
3 grandchildren
4 great-grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews also survive
