Donald Ray “Smooth” Heathcock, 73, of Florence, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, after an extended illness. Donnie was a lifetime resident of Lauderdale County, a 50-year member of IBEW Local #558, a U.S. Army veteran, and an avid Alabama football fan. ROLL TIDE!
Visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 10-12 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Randy Hargett officiating.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Candis Wright Heathcock; children, Jeff Heathcock and Shauna Bacon; grandchildren, Savannah Stevenson (Kevin), Colby Heathcock, Austin Bacon, Hunter Bacon, Chelsea Griese (Parker), and Mackenzie Glover; and great-grandson, Cohen Stevenson.
