Donald Ray Hovis, age 74, of Toney, Alabama passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Hovis was born December 3, 1948 to George Hovis and Telker Long Hovis. He is preceded in death by his parents and 6 brothers, Edward, Wayne, Bill, June, Jessie, and Mike.
He was a farmer and then worked at the Limestone Farmers Co-op for several years.
Pallbearers will be Greg Hovis, Robert Reyer, Chad Smith, Quentin Adams, Kayla Adams and Colton Adams.
Survivors include sisters Evelyn Marbut and Rocine McWhirter both of Athens, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday December 15th at McConnell Funeral home. Visitation will be 12-2 pm and a chapel service to follow at 2pm, officiated by Mike Green and Otis Bentley, burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
