Donald Ray Forsythe- Obituary

Donald Ray Forsythe was born July 28, 1945 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Wilson Hugh and Mary Forsythe. He was united in marriage to Donna Nixon on August 12, 1972. He was a retired Carpenter.

Donald was a member of Locke Road Baptist Church. He was a CB Radio Operator enthusiast for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, collecting knives, gardening, cooking, canning, and going to the smokey mountains. He was a wonderful husband and father who always wanted to stay busy doing the things he enjoyed. Donald served his country honorably in the United States Army. He departed this life on March 29, 2017 in Memphis, TN at the age of 71 Years, 8 Months, 1 Day.

He is survived by his wife Donna Forsythe of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Dena McDonald and husband Kevin of Selmer, TN; three sisters, Reda Plaxico and husband Bob of Corinth, MS, Nellie Carter and husband Larry of Adamsville, TN, Sue Morrow and husband Jim of Bolivar, TN; a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Forsythe was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph W. Forsythe and Billy Wayne Forsythe.

Memorials may be made to the individual donor’s choice.
