Donald L. Patton, age 85, of Decherd, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024. He was born on July 31, 1938, to the late Dennis and Altha Patton. Mr. Patton was a retired postal carrier and had previously served in the United States military as a Marine. He loved sports and enjoyed watching all of his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Patton; his daughter, Dedra Patton Acklen; and siblings, Morris Patton, Wayne Patton, Jean Bitner, and Vera Tenney. Mr. Patton is survived by his daughter, Dona (Joe) Carter, Dian (Lance) Relford, and Deneen Patton; grandchildren, Drew (Monica Gonzales) Relford, Lucas (Kassandra) Relford, Derick Willis, and Rachel Carter; great-grandchildren, Savannah June Relford, and Rhett William Relford; siblings, John Patton and Sue Patton; several nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Vince Crabtree.
