Donald Grant Hargrove, 72 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, at Limestone Health Facility. Mr. Hargrove was born on February 3rd, 1949, to Cecil Grant and Dorothy Hodson Hargrove.
Mr. Hargrove is survived by his wife of 46 years, Frances Phillips Hargrove; daughter Kerry Craig (Jeremy); grandchildren Joshua Craig, Kassidy Craig, and Jacob Hargrove; sisters Kathryn Case and Patricia Robinson; step-brother Jimmy Putman; step-sister Janice Leone; and daughter-in-law Shauna Hargrove.
Preceded in death by son Grant Philips Hargrove; parents Cecil Grant Hargrove & Dorothy Hodson Hargrove; and sister Linda Burns.
A graveside service for Mr. Hargrove will be Friday, December 3rd, 2021, at 1:30pm at Roselawn Cemetery, with Pat Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00am-1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Josh Craig, Donnie Watts, Jeremy Craig, Connie Ray Phillips, Jerry Smith, and Tommy Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom McMurtrey, Jake Hargrove, Dave Nelson, and Freddy Craig.
Mr. Hargrove was a member of Berea Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding horse, farming, and gardening.
