Donald Gene Wimley, age 79 of Tullahoma, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Franklin County on June 20, 1943 to the late Jeff and Lighey (Perry) Wimley. Donnie was a member of the First Church of Jesus Christ. He worked in a nursey before his retirement. After his retirement he enjoyed watching the local news and Gun Smoke. Donnie will be remembered as a good person with a beautiful heart. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Owens Wimley; daughter, Beverly Wimley; siblings, Kathy Sutton, Betty Shetters, James Wimley, Terry Wimley, Jessie Wimley, and Ricky Wimley. He is survived by sister, Linda (Michael) Painter of Georgia; several nieces and nephews; caretakers, Susie Wilcox, Tammy Wimley and James Wimley. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 11am-1pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
