Major Donald Eugene Keller, 79 of Joppa passed away Monday June 5, 2023, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice Inpatient Facility. Don was born August 17, 1943, in Nebraska, the son of Troy Keller and Lorene DeSoe Keller. He retired from the US Army, rising to the rank of Major and receiving many awards, medals, and commendations for his long service. After retiring in 1987, he enjoyed restoring cars, boats and loved fishing and enjoyed spending time with friends, family and his beloved dog, Deuce.
He is survived by his children: Christine (Brian) Selby and Travis (Jessica) Peel; his grandchildren: Christian, Emily, Tory, Hannah and Sarah, and great grandson: Weston
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Gober Funeral Chapel, with Brother Greg Stone officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. The burial with Military Honors will take place at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery.
