Donald Eugene Burrell, age 84 of Winchester,TN passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at his residence. He was born and raised in Brazil, IN and enlisted in the US Air Force in 1955. He served his country as an airman until 1959. He married in 1964 and moved to Hobart, IN where he worked for US Steel. He then moved to Shelby, IN in 1975 and worked for Calumet Steel. Following his retirement he moved to Winchester. He enjoyed reading about history, and was very knowledgeable on the subject. He also enjoyed painting, whittling wood, playing golf, fishing on the lake and when he was younger, he liked to rollerskate. He loved his dog, Maggie, dearly and enjoyed taking her for walks at Winchester City Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Irene Burrell and a sister, Helen Slack. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Carol Lyle Burrell of Winchester; daughters, Lori (Robert) Kerley of Winchester and Pam (Marc) Brown-Seely of Washington State; son, Darin Burrell of Cocoa, FL; grandchildren, Wayne (Beverly) Kerley, Amy (Joshua) Sensat, Erica Brown, Aaron (Aimee) Brown and Curtis Burrell; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Gabriel, Tristan and Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.
