Donald “Don” Lanier Posey, age 85, Haleyville, AL. passed away Saturday October 7, 2023. He served in the United States Army, retired computer programmer having worked in various industries, retiring from the Manufactured Housing member of First Baptist Church in Haleyville, AL., where he had served as Deacon.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 10, 2023 12:00NOON – 1:30PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 1:30PM in the chapel, with Dr. Nathan Carroll and Dr. Jim Cooley officiating. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Stan (Sanda) Posey; step daughters, Janie (Tim) Gilbert and Mary (Bob) Burleson; brother, Murlen (Betty) Posey; granddaughter, Anna Posey; step granddaughter, Perri Leigh
(Tanner) Cimo; a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Docie Posey; 1st wife, Nancy Kilpatrick Posey, 2nd wife, Barbara Arnold Posey; son, Steven Maxwell Posey; brother, Owen Posey; sisters, Essie Noles and Rachel League.
