Donald David Drummond Jr., 71, of Jasper, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, at his residence.
Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 11:30 a.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Joel Carden will officiate.
Donald graduated from Walker High School in 1969. He attended Bevill State in Sumiton for trade school. He started working for Drummond Co. in February of 1972. He was a lifelong dedicated employee for Drummond Co. for 50 years. He loved cars very much and was involved in racing for a few years. At the latter part of his life, his favorite thing to do was eat at Green Top Barbecue every Friday night with his son and grandson. He was content in the small things and he never forgot his humble roots. He will be greatly missed and never be forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald David Drummond Sr.; grandparents, Heman Edward Drummond and Elza Eliza Stewart Drummond.
He is survived by his son, Donald David Drummond III; grandson, David Elijah Drummond; mother, Billie Ruth Drummond; sister, Dianne Drummond; brother, Heman Lindsey Drummond and a host of other relatives and friends.
