Donald C. Lenz  Donald Clyde Lenz, 87, Muscle Shoals, “a man after God’s own heart”, entered his heavenly home on Monday, December 2, 2024. Don’s genuine walk with Jesus touched and bettered countless lives. He lived out the Faith he believed and was an example to all. The testimony of his friends since his passing can be summed up with one phrase – “Godly man”.

Visitation will be Friday, December 6, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Donnie McDaniel officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia.

Don was a native of Leighton and a member of Hook Street Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Trustee, and Sunday School Teacher. He was a former director of Baptist Medical and Dental Mission, International. Don was Valedictorian and Class President of the 1956 class of Colbert County High School. He earned his degree at Samford University, with a BS in Pharmacy. Don was a member of Phi Delta Chi Professional Fraternity and the recipient of the McKesson Award in Pharmacy. He was the owner and pharmacist of Don’s Pharmacy, Tuscumbia, and Don’s Payless Pharmacy, Florence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lillian Isbell Lenz; brothers, Charles Lenz, Billy Lenz, and Virgil Lenz; and sister, Betty McGregor.

Don is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Byars Lenz; children, Melanie Spencer (David), Jason Lenz (Jan), and Amy Hester (Jeff); brother, L.C. Lenz; sisters, Hettie McGough, Charlotte Brewer, and Reba Darby; grandchildren, Christy Graham (Jacob), Bethany Spencer, Grace Spencer, Hope Uhlman, Alex Lenz (Fleur), Olivia Hatcher (Daniel), and Emily Uhlman; great-grandchildren, Neelie Graham, Lillian Graham, Caroline Graham, and Spencer Graham; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Don’s nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
