Donald Clinton Daniels, of Hazel Green, age 68 died on June 27, 2023. Donald was born in Mobile, Alabama on March 10, 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank N. Daniels and Helen (Jordan) Daniels and his brothers Robert Bruce “Bobby” Daniels and Harold Lynn Daniels and brother-in-law Billy Thrower. He attended Arab High School and graduating in 1973 and furthered his education at various colleges including Auburn University and the University of South Alabama. He worked at Piggly Wiggly of Arab from 1974-1977. He went to work for the Federal Government at the Redstone Army Arsenal Commissary in 1977, then went to work for Missile Command in Finance from 1978- 1984 during which time he also worked from 1982-1984 at Sears Catalog. He then worked at the US Army Corp of Engineers from 1984 until his retirement in 2012.
He is survived by his wife Marie Daniels, sons Adam Jordan Daniels, Andrew Dalton Daniels of Hazel Green and his daughter Alicia Donielle Daniels of Birmingham. Brother, Glenn Daniels (Angie) of Arab, nieces Alexis Daniels, Brandi Daniels, Cayla Daniels of Huntsville and sister-in-law Betty Thrower and niece Sara Thrower of Huntsville.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Cobb, Gary Lewis, Al Jordan, Len Roberts, Phil Gilbert, Michael Daniels. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Bradley and Bucky Miller.
Visitation will be held at Hazel Green Funeral Home in Hazel Green, Ala on June 29,2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm
Don was a member of Witch Creek Baptist Church in Campbell, Alabama. Service will be held at Witch Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:00am officiated by Philip Godwin.
