Don Brown – Obituary

Don Brown 56 of Muscle Shoals died Friday November 16th 2012 after a long, courageous battle with Huntington’s disease.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 Monday November 19th at Morrison’s Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday November 20th at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home chapel with Jeff Abrams officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before services. Burial will follow at Guy Cemetery.

Don was a loving Son, Brother, Husband and Father and a friend to many. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and he touched many lives. He was a commercial printer at Don Brown Printing before his illness. He was a faithful Christian and member of Highland Park Church of Christ. He was a die hard Alabama fan. Roll Tide!

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Raburn Brown Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki, his three children Dylan, Brittany and Danielle Brown all of Muscle Shoals; His mother, Mary Dee Brown of Tuscumbia; Brother Dale Brown and wife Laurie; Sister Dana Robertson and husband Rick all of Tuscumbia; Special brother and sister-in-law Charles and JoAnne Malone of Tuscumbia and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Bartley and Luke Robertson and Jared Brown and friends, Dalton Broussard, Kenneth Evans and Dennis Willingham.

The family wishes to thank Don’s special nurses and CNA’s at Cypress Cove and the sweet Angels from Gentiva Hospice who lovingly took such good care of Don and his family, also to special friend Charlene Updike. Don lost his battle with Huntington’s but has won his Heavenly Crown.
