Mrs. Doloris Pfountz, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in Lexington. She was born April 5, 1930 in St. Louis, MO to the late Joseph and Emily Sodomka Puchta. She was a retired bookkeeper and customer service employee for Walmart and a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Lexington and St. Alphonsus Church in Covington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Henry Pfountz and one sister, Marcella Juul. Survivors include her 5 children, Janine Tankersley (Rick), David Pfountz (Connie), Denise Newby (Gary), Carl Pfountz (Brenda), and Joe Pfountz (Rhonda); 11 grandchildren, Greg (Lauren) Tankersley, Karen (Scott) Sinclair, Jennifer (Aaron) Akers, Mandy Pfountz, Timothy (Jonna) Pfountz, Jason (Shelley) Newby, Mechele (Jonathan) Hardy, Jeremy Newby, Robert Pfountz, Laura (Jeremy) Batson, and Ashley Pfountz; and 13 great grandchildren, Sarah, Megan, Gavin, Adalyn, Ava, Zeal, Jonas, Ellis, Niko, Emmie, Ethan, James Luke, and Brooks.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12 PM, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Lexington. Interment will follow in Henderson County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2024, 5 – 8 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington and on Saturday, at St. Andrews, 11 AM until time of service.
