Dolores Spencer Betterton, 55, resident of Walnut, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Desoto County. Private Services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Betterton was born October 19, 1968, in Memphis, TN, the daughter of Margaret Beaver Spencer of Horn Lake and the late Billy Wayne Spencer. She received her education in the Memphis City Public School System and was employed as a caregiver throughout her life. A Christian, Mrs. Betterton will be remembered for her love of the simple things in life, her kind, giving heart, her love of nature, her worry free personality and her thoughtfulness of always putting others first.
In addition to her mother, memories will continue to be shared by her children, Shannon Nelson (Patrick) of Horn Lake and Colton Betterton (Kansas) of Walnut, two sisters, Darla Holland (Jason) and Debbie Tillery (Larry), one brother, J.J. Swinford, Jr. and six grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shandra Betterton.
