Dixie Estes Sweeton age 79 of Smithville passed away Friday morning August 16, 2019 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville. She was born January 8, 1940 to her parents the late James William & Birty Mai Johnson Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Ricky Estes; 2 daughters: Lisa DeVault and Jenna Roller; Grandchildren, Carl Allen Young, Jerry Lee Estes; Brother, Willie Stanley; 2 sisters, Georgie Frazier and Lillian Taylor. She was a retired nursing home CNA and a Christian. Funeral service will be held 1:30PM Sunday August 18, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday 4:PM until 8:PM and Sunday 10:AM until the time of service at 1:30PM. Survivors include 5 children, Jimmy Estes and Doreen Pedigo of Smithville, Jerry (Frog) Estes of Pea Ridge, Kathy (Bruce) Chapman of Liberty, and Patsy Estes of Smithville; grandchildren: Jimmy Lane, Rena Velazquez, Toby Young, Chad Young, April (Keith) Billings. Nena Rodriguez, Chris (Rayanna) Chapman, Amy Estes, Kasey Estes, Sara South, Carrie DeVault, Samantha (Jaime) Velazquez, Molly Lawrence, Little George Roller, Brittany Gingerich; several great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 1 brother, Wayne Stanley; step-daughter, Denise Duncan. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
