LEIGHTON – Get ready to embark on a journey into the past as the Friends of the Leighton Library proudly present “Leighton Trolley Tours: A Tour into the Past.” This exciting event offers a unique opportunity to explore the town of Leighton like never before, taking you on a nostalgic ride past historical buildings and charming homes of the past, present, and future.
Join us on Sunday, October 22, for this special event! Two tours, at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, will depart from the Leighton Public Library on Main Street. Tickets are available for $20 each, with limited availability. Purchase in person at the library from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, or call to reserve your spot.
Susan Tanner, a Friends of the Leighton Library representative, expressed her excitement about the upcoming trolley tour in Leighton, saying, “We are thrilled to provide this remarkable tour of our beloved town. During the Leighton Trolley Tours, participants will enjoy refreshments at several stops along the way, ensuring a delightful and comfortable journey. The tours will be led by local tour guide, Ed Cross, who is renowned for his captivating tours of LaGrange College Site Park.
One of the tour’s highlights is a stop in the revitalized downtown area, where attendees can explore the local shops and experience the vibrant heart of Leighton.
